Wasn't planning to post this until the spring but figured I may as well post it now in case someone is in the market. This is going to be a bit of a read but I encourage any interested buyers to read it all, because there's a lot to say about the car and how much love and care and money I have put into it.

I am the second owner and purchased it from CMP in January 2015. The car has never seen snow and hardly even rain. I gave it a good polish and detailing shortly after buying it and the paint shines like new. For those unaware the paint is called Red Jewel Tintcoat and it's a premium colour that has a tinted clearcoat for a really deep shine. This colour was only available on a few models.

The only reason I am selling is because I would like to upgrade my racecar (http://forums.beyond.ca/st2/broken-rx8-i-attempt-to-build-an-autocross-car/showthread.php?s=&threadid=394600&perpage=20&highlight=&pagenumber=1) and purchase a truck and trailer to tow it around to more events. I bought the car with 29,000 kms and it now has 45,000. In this time it has been absolutely wonderful and has not given me a single problem. Always owned by a mature owner and been babied all its life. It's been garage kept, properly stored under cover in the garage during winter and basically a garage queen.

The car is a 2011 2SS/RS, which is the top model of the year and as a result it is fully loaded. The 2ss means it of course has the 426 HP 6.2L LS3 Corvette engine, TR6060 6 speed manual transmission, real leather seating, Heads up display (rare for a 2011), rear parking sensors, console gauge pack, upgraded Boston Acoustics stereo (honestly the best factory stereo I have ever heard), power sunroof, and much more. The RS package adds slightly tinted tail lights, slightly darker wheels, HID headlights with halos, and body colored rain moldings. It has Sirius XM satellite radio and Onstar with the newly updated module. With it, you can set up the car to have a wifi hot spot for data on the go, it has its own phone number to make and receive calls (in addition to bluetooth handsfree with your phone of course). You can also download the smartphone app to lock/unlock the car, check fuel level, tire pressure, odometer reading and more! Very cool thing to have.

For extras it has:

-Full 3M coverage from the original owner
-Premium undercoating applied by the dealer when I bought it
-Hurst short shifter (The aftermarket version with the nicer shift lever, not the dealer-option version). Stock shifter also included
-Gorilla black steel spline drive security lug nuts, stock lugs also included
-CAGS eliminator
-OEM cargo net in the trunk
-OEM locking gas cap that's keyed to the door/ignition key
-LED interior lights
-Muffler sleeve mod (free mod that takes 30 seconds to do and improves the exhaust note)
-Decals! The front and rear bowtie have black decals over them and the side gills have decals to give the illusion of depth. All completely removable.

All maintenance is up to date. Some recent items include:

-Brake fluid change, and the reservoir was changed due to a TSB on the original one sweating from under the cap
-Cabin air filter last fall
-New OEM windshield installed at CMP last year (rock chip that started a crack, and I bought the insurance so why not)
-New battery installed Nov 2016 (original battery finally gave out)
-I still have a few free oil changes left at CMP. These are not transferable but I will take it in for a fresh oil change right before sale!

The bad:

Really not much to say here. The only blemish to its reputation is one carfax claim from ~2013 for about $1200 and listed as 'rear center'. I phoned around before buying it and the body shops told me that would only be enough to cover a new bumper skin, so it had to be a very very minor rear-ender, or they backed into something. Just the same, I took the interior panels out and inspected the sheet metal from inside and underneath, and as I expected there was zero evidence of any damage/repairs. The tires are original and have 3-5/32 left. A new set of P-zeros will run about $1000 from Costco. Price adjusted accordingly. I'd say the exterior is 9/10, interior is 10/10 and mechanically it is also 10/10.

Pictures :

Here's a picture taken from one of the YYC autox events this year. It's the only time it's ever seen a 'track' and I took it very easy, not wanting to hit any cones or scuff the paint. Just wanted to see what it was like one time. Did not ever hit the rev limiter, mis-shift, spin out or anything like that.

Here's a video from one of my runs. This was taken with a Gopro hero 3 black edition and an external condenser mic mounted on the back of the car. Sorry about the audio being out of sync, no idea wtf happened..

This is something I am especially proud of. Everyone complains about poor rearward visibility in these things, and the easiest fix is to get those round convex stick-on mirrors from Canadian Tire. But they look like shit. What I did was draw up the mirror in CAD, then I bought some of those mirrors, made a 3d model of the curvature of the mirror and 3D printed a form-fitted holder that follows the contour of the OEM mirror. They stick on, look OEM and work like a hot damn. I have zero blind spots behind me now, and when backing into a parking stall I can see the lines on BOTH SIDES of the car without having to adjust the mirror! Very proud of how that turned out, and it's printed with ABS plastic and vapor sealed so it'll last. The side and rearview mirror are auto-dimming and this does not affect the dimming function.

Up. Took off the intake, spoiler and swaybars in anticipation of trading it in, but the vehicle I was looking at was not all it was cracked up to be and we were too far apart on price for it. I have since decided to sell those items separately and have dropped the price significantly.

Right now from what I see online, the cheapest v8 5th gen Camaro in the province is only 4k cheaper than mine, it has almost double the mileage, none of the addons and is a 2010 year so it won't have the HUD.

For trades, I am looking for a light pickup or midsize SUV, valued around 12-15K with a tow rating of 6000 lbs or better. My preference right now is the 05+ Nissan Frontier Nismo, 05+ Pathfinder or possibly a TRD Tacoma if it's not a POS in that price range.

I just want to say nice work on the mirrors. Make them and sell them, and make molds for the 6G also.

I have a GT350 and ford incorporated the small blind spot mirror OEM.

Need an investor?

Heh, thanks. Have often wondered if there would be a market for them. Could adapt this model to virtually any car as long as I had 5 minutes to measure up the mirror. In fact, what worked the best here was to tape a ruler to the mirror, photograph it straight on, and import/scale the image into AutoCAD. Maybe I should sniff around and see how much interest there would be...
