If you don't have a favourite Tim's donut, you're not Canadian

I see us Cruller lovers are leading... how many of you have been told that your favorite donut is gross because of its texture and that it's just a giant pocket of deep fried air?

Toasted coconut all the way!

No Sour Cream Glaze? Shit is the best.

But seriously. Can we stop calling Tim Hortons a Canadian staple. Hell Mcdonalds even serves the old roast before timmies went greedy and put sawdust in the blend. Tim Hortons is not an indispensable part of the Canadian experience. Rather, it is a place that sells a breakfast sandwich that tastes like a dishcloth soaked in egg yolk and left out overnight on top of a radiator. /rant

I'd say thats 50% of the response when you order a cruller, or want the cruller timbits amongst friends. My girlfriend refuses to eat them

The Oreo donut is in Germany now too. I miss the old Tim's :(

Damn. I really went a French Vanilla right now. Fuck this thread.

Is Chocolate Glazed the double chocolate one?

I just want to preface my post with a note that I agree with jacky4566. Basically it's a little disappointing that Tim Hortons is constantly recognised as a symbol of Canada. It boggles the mind why people like that awful coffee so much. It tastes like it was filtered through a homeless guys underpants.

Having said all that... strawberry dip is my fave donut there. It's like the powdered sugar jelly donut, but it's dipped in vanilla icing instead

I miss Tim's when they actually made their donuts.

The donuts at Safeway are MUCH better.

Sour cream glazed ftw.

For some reason they ditched the blueberry fritter and the blueberry timbits.

One has to wonder how it came to be that you would know what that tastes like.

Surprised there wasn't an option to vote for the sour cream glazed based on the comments. Also my favourite!

So... mods, is there a way to edit the poll to add the Sour Cream Glazed and change some of those answers out of other?

Chocolate Dream Puff. It's a chocolate dip donut filled with whipped cream. Basically an eclair in donut form. For some reason, I've only been able to find them at the Tim's in Wentworth on 85th St.

Honey Cruellers and Birthday Cake Timbits are also very good.

Tim's is not like it used to be. I miss the old Tim's. Since then, they went all greedy and became the shittier Starbucks and McCafe.

Yup, their honey dip used to be glorious, and then when they went par-baked it turned into a soggy, wrinkly mess of shit.

Double chocolate dip. Sometimes they're moist.

Tims isn't that good. 7-11 used to be but haven't eaten there in years

I randomly stopped at the Cougar Ridge location yesterday, and they had a Mint Fudge.....first time ever seeing.

8/10 will eat again

Otherwise, Boston Cream or Canadian Maple all day. (Hate the coffee though)
