I just bought parts from a 1989 325is and am looking to sell them because all my funds dried up. The engine has 230k on it and was "rebuilt" at 215K. I cannot prove the rebuild and do not expect to get top dollar because of that. As far as i know these engines go for $1500 bar bones at the wreckers. This one is basicly complete but doesnt have the exhaust manifolds. I bought an engine hoist and a engine stand i would be willing to sell it with, they are both brand new. I was hoping to get $1000 for the enigne but am open to offers on it. The exhaust is a dual pipe and is from the cat back. First $150 takes it or i will probably throw it in with the engine. Im also selling bumpers from the same car.
