Had Greg come in and separately quote painting our main floor, lacquering our oak stairway and our built-in oak shelving around the fireplace. I was happy with the quote and the beyond.ca recommendations for Straight Edge, so we broke the project into stages and proceeded.

First was painting the main floor. They are extremely accommodating with project start times. We selected our colors and they were off to the races. Painting looks great. Excellent prep work and very clean throughout the painting. They were very understanding and accommodating with any slight touch-ups that were needed.

Next we scheduled the lacquer for the stairs and built-in. Again, extremely accommodating with the scheduling. Works cannot describe how messy this job is. There is going to be dust everywhere. Straight Edge spent a lot of time taping the area off to minimize the mess. The smell is also quite strong during the process. The project took a little longer than expected, but they did their best to work around our schedule and theirs to speed it up. Finished product is amazing, so glad we went this route. It was painful as a family of five living through it, but we can enjoy the work for years to come.

We are fairly picky people and Greg was accommodating in meeting our satisfaction. A lot of contractors can get irritated with customers nit picking, but Greg understood and guarantees that the customer will be happy in the end. Overall, I am very happy with the work and will definitely use Straight Edge for future projects.

Totally was. Even did a fireplace surround like yours. Simon did a great job again.
