Earl: The Yosemite one is my favorite, captures the area well with people enjoying it. Sign of the times.
Ryan: That 3rd one is very interesting with the blue rectangle in the centre surrounded by gooooOOOld.
Matt: Great lighting on Nub Peak. Moody cloudy sky with a brightly lit mountain peak. Love those.
Richard: That last one of the Stagea looks awesome, very dynamic with the great snow splash.

Last year was the most aviation stuff we've crammed into one year and we had an absolute blast. I'm very happy that we were able to see as many differnt fighters as we did. In order of fighter designation numbers:

The F-15's shape and design is probably what most people think of when they think fighter jet. The one that Skyscream was modeled after.

Maybe the last great fighter I'll see in my lifetime if things keep going the way they are with drones. Even if they aren't replaced by drones. The F-35 is poised to replaced the current variety with a single platform.

Catching airshows is quite a commitment financially and timewise, I don't know how Steve does it. Definitely a new found appreciation for his photos.

It has been quite the learning curve this year, after taking a couple classes, having a shot used by someone else without permission, learning what my equipment can/can't do and working around it, and reaching out to other photographers for tips, I can definitely say I'm much further ahead now that I was at the start of 2016 when I bought my camera.

This sub-forum is always a humbling experience, and it has proven a good source of information without the snobbery I have seen on other photography forums. My goals for this year include more classes, trying some landscape work, upgrading from my sl1 body, and getting into more scenarios to get good shots (with weather proof body, the snow has killed my chances of shooting on a few occasions).
