Working on a quote, and I've been asked for something that hasn't come up for me yet. Anyone have a handle on what clients or consultants are currently charging for mileage? It's been a while since I've been paying that kind of invoice, and I think I recall seeing $1.50/km as a pretty normal charge out rate. Is that still the case?

Note, not talking about trucking freight costs. This is the cost to attend worksites out of town.

CRA allows employees to be paid $0.54/km, but the rate for consultants or vendors was always higher than that.

Most of the EPCMs I was at the rate was around $0.75-.90/km from what I remember.

For the F-150s we ran at the family company we factored in around 0.65-.7/km as a cost. But this also included the dipshits averaging an accident or two a year. They also had to haul lots of crap around in them that was a bit harder on the trucks

We have been getting grief if we charge more than $1.15/km from our clients for my well supervisors.

When I was writing contracts (2015/2016) I was paying on avg ~0.80 per km for consultants. Really depends on size of company, economy etc.

At the peak I was charging $1.20/km, now we are down to $0.81/km.

$1.50?! I've never seen travel that high. Highest was $1.25 I've ever heard (and fortunately charged). Independent contractors I believe is around $1-1.10, 0.75-0.90 for "consultants" working under Halliburton, for example.
