Well my run on computers continues... Starting to think they hate me.

Anyone have a cheap laptop for sale (missing HDD is ok, have many of those, but needs caddy)?

Also wouldn't mind a dirt cheap netbook as a backup / something to bring along.

Pm me

Andy

I have a Dell Mini 10v netbook if you're interested. $20?

Have a lightly used 15.6" Vista laptop that works fine EXCEPT the fan which is very noisy.

40$.

Head down to era.ca or check their eBay (http://stores.ebay.ca/calgarycomputerwholesale/) (it'll be cheaper if you show up with cash) and Kijiji (http://www.kijiji.ca/v-laptops/calgary/laptops-great-pricing-working-core-2-duo/1234564887) (they've got hundreds of ads there but posted from various accounts)

Just dug up an ancient Toshiba Satellite M40 JM8, has power supply, battery is most likely toast. It's WinXP era, probably best with Linux... 15.4" LCD, Pentium M 740, 512 MB RAM, 100 GB PATA 4200rpm HDD. Want it?

Those ERA computers all seem to have no OS, so unless you either have a copy "laying around" or are planning to run linux, they aren't that great.

Shit-ass used computers aren't worth it if you end up paying full price for a copy of windows to run it. If you have to do that, you are better spending $450 at memex for a new computer with windows already installed.
