Audi a3 coming to canada

What do you all think about the a3? It's basically an upscale golf but is it manufactured in Germany or Mexico? I've always been a fan of the previous gen S3 with 210hp and AWD but it was only available in Europe. I wonder what the new S3 based on the current platform will be like?

Audi has better customer relations, Audi has way better luxury built in. I would totally go for the A3 over a VW, however is NA ever gets a S3 that would be impressive!!!!

There's no question - I'd take an A3 over and R32 anyday. It looks hot with the Oettinger kit on it too....

I wouldnt be surprised to see a 3.2 sell for around 40-45k, maybe even topping out at 50 (who knows) and the smaller engine (what ever it is maybe the 1.6 FSI engine) starting at around 35. That would be my guess. But I really wished they brought the A3 alot sooner... I really liked the previous generation one... especially the S3.

my bad, just checked prices in england and converted them. base 1.6 litre starts at $31,000 canadian and the top of the line 3.2 quattro S-line is $50,000 canadian.

That might not mean all that much...the pricing could be a lot different when they bring them here....Usually cars are more expensive to purchase in Europe...(Western europe anyways)

Again .. depends on price !

If end up a "base" A3 cost even more then a loaded new GTI, then buy the GTI. ( just like Lexus ES300 and and toyota Camry XLE, who cares ? )

I like the look of last A3, the new A3, somehow, the problem is .. looks like the Hyundai soemthing .. :(

Anyway, the A3 will be a nice car compare to the silly Benz's hatchback ! much nicer .... :)

See .. now you see what I mean ... you rather take an Audi over a BMW, and I "personally" will take a VW Golf GTi over an Audi A3 (unless a S3) :eek:

Just personally perference .. some people take hyundai/Kia over a Honda?Toyota .. :)

Don't get me wrong, A3 is a nice car !
