I have a very old version of the phillips light, and have been looking to upgrade as the old design/blub can get hot.

Amazon has on sale the latest version, where they claim its better coloured. Not sure if it's just a marketing ploy, however, I do like the light as a wake up.

Just thought I would pass this on, as it's on a one day sale and sold by amazon.ca, not a third party, for those that are interested.

I have had one of these for I think 4+ years. It is great for waking up, especially in the winter times when it is still dark. Helps in the summer if you keep your blinds closed also. The colored light is better as it simulates sunrise as opposed to a single color bulb.

I have one of these in the LED version, it is expensive but I find it does help me wake up during winter.

I've wanted to get one of these but I can't justify the price. Is there an app that can do this for free? :D

I have just the single bulb version and I love the thing. Multi colour LED sounds awesome!

I have that exact one which I bought on sale for $107.99. I still use it, but I find that I don't wake up from the light anymore after I got used to it.

Here is a price history.

It goes on sale at $107.99 a few times a year.

Bought the older model HF3510 from Ebay for $100 and I was surprised it is shipped direct for Philips warehouse in Mississauga.

They accidentally shipped me 2 and sold me the 2nd one for $50.

Occasionally I'll get waken up by the light, I have noticed that more times than not I'll end up facing away from the light when I get woken up though which kind of reduces the point. 9/10 times I'll get waken up by the annoying ass alarm sound/song thingy that they have preset.

am I the only one that thinks this would be super annoying

When I sleep in on the weekend and the sun wakes me up, it makes me angry, haha

just a suggestion but... perhaps you should not set it for the weekends?... pisses me off when my normal alarm wakes me on weekends, thats why i turn it off...

I got a cheaper version from Amazon. 40$ and it does the job. The speaker is pretty brutal though so I only use it for the natural light function.

Unless your a light sleeper I find these things do nothing. I will usually be woken up by the 2nd alarm rather than the light.

I still use a alarm on my phone but I find that the light helps me wake up. I have the light turn on at the lowest setting at 5am and then eventually full brightness by 530am. It is nice waking up to light and it helps me stay awake vs falling back asleep.

For those that already have Hue lights, you can just set an alarm to do the same thing. When I really need to wake up I set the hue and also the alarm clock.

Damn, nice, didn't know I could do this. I work 9-5 for this reason, I have a really hard time waking up fully in the dark and my wife wakes up way before me and hate having the blinds open but even then days like today it's still dark when my alarm goes off at 715
