Has anyone on this forum ridden this delicious looking pseudo-moto?

I've spent a lot of time on a 690 SMCR and appreciate its lightweight and flickablity, but as is the curse I find myself mulling over a more powerful bike.

Thoughts? Hoping someone can comment from a firsthand perspective. I've found on advrider that people have gone the opposite direction, 990--->690. My riding habits are limited to the inner city hooliganism and the odd blast on rural backroads.

Pics and vids because wowie:

Have rode a super Duke 990... so same engine?

It's definitely powerful, but more like a diesel where you can basically accelerate in any gear at any speed... but I didn't find it to be a particularly fast bike if that makes sense? The gearing was probably the issue... but if you want it as a city bike that's probably exactly the type of power you want, it will probably not be nearly as maneuverable as a 690 though, I went 390 to 990 and back on the same trip and everything about the 990 was just slower handling wise, much heavier feel
