While fumbling under the dash trying to find my trailer harness plug, I found an (obviously) aftermarket on/off microswitch. Does anyone know if this is a normal part of a Viper carstarter/alarm install?

It isn't the "valet" button, because that's on the antenna, and I'm hesitant to trying switching it to off, because I don't want to fuck with my starter/alarm settings if it is part of the Viper.

Any idea's what it could be for?

Yes, there is a metal on/off switch included in a typical viper remote starter. If you look up Viper 5901 on sonic electronics, you will see what it looks like.

Ah, perfect, thanks. That's exactly what it looks like.

Looking up the manual for the 5901, seems to indicate it's for shutting just the remote starter on/off.
