Hi,

Was wondering what everyone uses for exterior detailing.

Been looking at some Carpro and Auto Obssessed products....

Most importantly has anyone used an IronX or is it overkill? Is clay barring enough?

Iron X is really good at removing iron contaminants. I don't see it as a replacement for clay as it won't remove other contaminants in your paint (tar, sap, etc).

As for products, what are you trying to do? Cleaning? Polishing? Waxing?

Iron X and Tar X is a great supplement to traditional clay bar/towel. It offers deeper cleansing along with the clay bar.

Depending on how often you decontaminate your paint. Some people can get away with just using Iron X after summer and winter. However, this usually only applies to a weekend vehicle and not to a daily drive in Calgary.

IronX is great but depending if your vehicle is a daily driver or not. A light clay is always good.

Light nano clay pad is all you need.
