View Full Version : LF general contractor handyman window structural leak

I've got a leak when it rains from a large window coming at the top corner and base of window sill. Also water pusdlies up on carpet floor coming from behind the drywall. The vinyl window doesn't leak so it appears to be a structural issue.

Most likely would have to remove part of the drywall to inspect for wood damage and mould and find where water is coming in from outside.

Was wondering if anyone would be able to recommend a reliable general contractor handyman that can fix this.

TIA

Fire Ant fixed a leaking window at my in-laws with success.

This is what they did
Remove stucco
remove window
rebuilt structure to replace rotted wood
reinstall the window (huge 2 story window)
water proof the entire area
re applied stucco (color matched as well as possible)
re painted all the trim

Zero leaks now at a fraction of the cost Legacy Exterior quoted.

Entire leaking issue was because of poorly lapped paper before they applied stucco.

Sounds like a similar situation.
Thanks G!
