TELUS Pik TV - something new that TELUS is rolling out but they don't seem to be advertising or promoting it much or at least I haven't seen anything about it. Will be interesting to see how it is received - link (https://www.telus.com/en/ab/tv/package/pik/landing).

Looks to be their version of a Kodi box? I guess they are starting to feel the amount of cable cutters/ millennial's that aren't willing to pay for traditional packaged services.

I can't see this being overly popular, as the competing products are still free.

It's an Android Box with Telus service/app built in.

Don't know how much control you have over it but you may be able to do Kodi on it.

I'm not sure why Telus want to do hardware. Why not just release app/service on Google Play and let all devices access it? Unless access to this service is tied to a physical DRM chip or something?

This was introduced more than a month ago,

As for others commenting on TV content Via a App. Bell had already rolled this out in the east . So my guess is it is just a matter of time before Telus do the same.
