The position title isn't actually "Advanced Data Proofer", but it probably should be. The official position name is "eCommerce Product Associate".
We are seeking an outgoing, team-oriented individual with an analytical mind to read, interpret, assemble, enter and display technical data for the purposes of the representation of process control products on a website. A sharp mind, attention to detail, outgoing attitude, ability to work with minimal supervision and ability to learn are a must.
This is similar to what most consider "data entry", but is more advanced than the title suggests and is not a “monkey can do it” affair. This position requires no previous professional schooling, though knowledge of the oil and gas industry (instrumentation) and content management systems are considered assets. The first few months are largely a learning process of the software we use and the way we handle the data, after which point you'll be "let loose" to proof on your own.
Does this all sound rather dry? That's probably because it is. So if you seek a stressful, adrenaline-filled job this is absolutely not for you. If you want to work in a relaxed, outgoing and reasonably fun office environment which requires virtually no "work outside work" then this might be a good fit. And fully paid medical benefits, free parking, a games room and free beverages? Yeah, we have those too too.
We are located on 114th in the SE, so you'll probably need to have your own transportation depending on where you live. Our work day is 8-4:30, with a 1/2 hour lunch and breaks as you see fit (within reason). We provide a fair amount of flexibility on a case-by-case basis and try to ensure a good work/life balance for all
I'm a straight shooter manager, and both my team and I speak freely and colourfully - so if you are the type to be easily offended or withdrawn, you might not be comfortable in this environment. If you feel you could bring extra energy to the team, that's always a plus.
Due to the time required to train, we are only looking for individuals who might be interested in sticking around for a year minimum... if not two or more. We expect potential opportunity for advancement going forward, though that road map has not been laid out yet. Current starting wage will be $17.31/hr - paid on a salary basis.
