What's left out there?

Need/want a fun car but on a budget these days lol while everyone is moving on up with their AMG/M cars haha I think I would be quite content in a manual 3 door GTi for $380ish/month lease for 48.

Manual > DSG for cheaper maintenance, cheaper lease and more *involved driving experience* lol

I personally liked the Focus ST 6-speed. I would imagine the 6-speed in the new Civic Si would be pretty sweet given Honda's expertise at making slick manual transmissions.

If the BMW M2 is too much you could always check out a M240i or even a 230i manual. Might be closer to your budget and offer lots of fun. I took the M240i for a drive and was very impressed.

English roadster built by Japanese, styled by Italian, financed by Americans (0% and $2500 off).

It's not as good or fun as MX5 because turbo lag of the 1.4L Multiair and last gen shifter. But I think it looks better than MX5 and it's only a ECU tune away from close to 200HP. And MX5 with similar spec will be at least $200/mth more.

Too bad it is a GM... and therefore no doubt riddled with problems

I thought the new LT1 would be awesome... but then I beat a new corvette in my lightly modded 5.0 mustang with a passenger and loads of shit in the back. Maybe mods open them up or something :dunno:

I believe adding X-drive to these cars somewhat neuters the handling ability as it doesn't allow for the sport suspension you can get on RWD version.

From what I've been reading, it can beat a GT350 Mustang around a track, without all of the overheating issues... and apparently it is very comfortable and fun to drive on backroads as well. It was also putting down better track times than the Grand Sport.

Ah yea I believe it. Chevy has been making some insane handling cars these days, and despite how awesome the GT350's engine is technically, putting a supercharged beast under the hood will crush it in a straight line as well

If you want a 3 door GTI better get one now. There are is no 3 door after 2017, however there will be a non autobahn base 5 door for 2018.

After talking to redlyne and driving around in MY16 some more, I think I'll wait until next year for the 5 door non autobahn. Hopefully pricing will be similar to the current 3 door. I can live without the kessy, bi-xenon, fender, nav, sunroof etc. (which is what I have on my current comfortline) but the DSG on second thought is a must haha

As usual always give up something to get something or just pay for the top of the line package lol
