Recently bought a brand new forester xt and placed iottie cellphone holder on the dashboard(rubbery soft touch material,vinyl) for 2 days and i got a doughnut shape indentation and dark shiny stain.
So far I have tried multi purpose stain cleaner,Ice interior cleaner and protectant, lots of wet tissues, car compound(tiny amount). And none of them really worked...
Looks like the indentation is not too bad but the dark shiny stain is still there and really noticeable.
Some people tried WD40, olive oil, magic eraser(this is pretty much fine sand paper), hair dryer or heat gun.
One of the most popular car detail shop in Edmonton doesn't repair this kind of damage so there might not be a way to fix this issue.
But has anybody have any success to restore this kind of damage (stain)?
