Advice on buying a used bike.

Hey guys,

I currently ride and I am looking at picking up a second bike. Since current bike new I did not need to be concerned with the aspects of buying a used bike.
However I am looking at picking up a used bike.

Is there something like car proof to look up the history of a bike?
Also I meant to call my insurance company but did not get around to it today. Do you guys know if there is something like the 12 year inspection policy for used cars, but for motorcycles.

Also anything else I should know?

Carproof for a bike... meh. Waste of time to be honest.

Inspection? Nope.

Will tell you if its stolen.
