Does anyone have any suggestions on using a bike beam (top tube adapter) on a full suspension mtn bike for a trunk rack? Ideally I would buy a roof rack, however it's easier to just use my trunk rack.

Is it stable to use one of these? Does it damage the bike? Anyone have any experience?

Thx!

Yeah, we used one to transport my wife's MTB on a trunk rack. Works fine, connects from the headset to the seat post so that you can mount it on the rack rails.

We bought a similar one to this a few year's back: http://thebikeshop.com/product/evo-top-tube-adapter-171899-1.htm

Do you have a receiver hitch?

I've got one of these and it makes everything so simple. http://www.northshoreracks.com/
