If you live in Canada they are no longer sold there.

2003 was the last year for them in the Great White North:(

That is why deals can be had. Mitsubishi dealers will be begging to unload them.
I used to sell Mitsubishis, and I do like them. They are not as refined as their competitors, but also are a lot less money. The Montero Sport ids built on the old-style ladder frame, like most domestics, whereas the full sized Montero is unibody.

The 3.0 litre 6 is 180 hp as I recall. Drive one before you buy. It is not a powerful truck at all. The 3.5 is a lot better.

I got the 2000 Mitsu Montero Sport XLS which is the same exact look as that one, since it was the 1st year they made that look. I brought it from the states before you guys even had them here.

What I can tell you about it:

I am selling it for $16,500, if interested, contact me at 403.714.7605

I am getting a sports car again...

112 k KM on it (about 70k miles)
4WD and 2WD
Automatic transmission
Off road package
All powered
-No leather (I hate leather so I had that option taken out)
- Towe package
- 2nd gear start for snow
- Auto dimm mirror
- Xenon headlights
- Stock Fog Lights
- CD player
- Runs and drives like new
- One of the most reliable trucks out there (I have a friend who had almost 250k miles on it and nothing ever broke)
- Girls love it (specially in Calgary since it is a rare find and they haven't seen many nor will they in the future) :D

The color of mine is burgondy with golden trim. Like I said, it is the XLS which has the better looking trim to it.
The cost of it brand new was 33k $ US (about 52 k $ Canadian back in 2000)
