Hi, telus shutdown the CDMA service in the last few days but can I re-use TELUS sim cards? I know on verizon I can. or is this like a policy issue?

He means re-use. Most providers (I want to say all Canadian ones but not 100% sure) don't allow re-using SIM cards after it's been deactivated. There's zero technical reasons why, I figured they just want to make some coin selling 10 cent SIM cards at $15.

SIM cards also have different sizes depending on the phone your using.

Any time I've needed a new card for any reason, I've always had Telus give me a bill credit for the fifteen bucks they cost.

I switch between a nano and micro sim card all the time on Telus, via their "change my phone option on self serve". I think as long as the sim card was active on your account within the last six months its good..

also from my understanding, once a SIM card has been burned with a mobile number, you cannot re-use it with another mobile number.
But if you want to re-use a SIM card for the same mobile number, you can do so. I remember doing this a couple of times in the past.

thank you thats what i was thinking.. I would re-activate a verizon prepaid phone when I needed to visit the US. I thought it was odd TELUS said a old sim card can not be reused, reading your line makes perfect sense.
