Hi guys,

Dad got a 1000L water tank from somewhere, but it doesn't have a spout. He is growing a large garden and wants to use it to collect rain water. Ideally he would like to connect a garden house to it. Anyone know where one could find something for this? I figure these types of things are used on industrial applications or farms.

It's one of these:

The ones I had like that full of glycol were 2" male NPT. You can also buy PVC plastic bulkhead fittings at Calgary plastic container. Then reduce down from there to garden hose or barbed fitting.

Thank for the info. I will have to checkout that place. I looked online, and seems like most adapters and stuff are to go off the valve, our doesn't even have a valve, just what appears to be a course thread, about 100mm in size or so (at least from what I can remember, at parents place, so will have to check next time I go)

I would also get a sprinkler pump from Princess auto. It will help it flow out faster. https://www.princessauto.com/en/detail/3-4-hp-sprinkler-pump/A-p8643082e
