What year did you buy yours and check the Remington site depending on production date they have a couple of recalls.
Mine was the trigger mech for accidental misfire. And my only bitch about it is the safety not a big deal once you get used to it.But 2 thumbs up for performance.

Recall was addressed. Sent them the serial # and I have an email from Remington confirming it. Even got a nice big game knife at 40% off just for checking!
