Looking for the best way to fix this trailer. Happy to pay someone here if they can.

There isn't much to weld here IMO. Id put a come along on the bugger and bend it back. Its just a jack, not the main A frame that its pulled by.

Sadly it's not mine, so a little weld is needed to return it to the owner the proper condition. Jack still works at least.

Easier maybe to just replace that jack. Does it still function smoothly? They are cheap as hell. Princess auto has several under fifty bucks.

What Extra said. cheapest solution here is a new jack.

i could do it for ya as long as your trailer is under 26'

the jack flanges are usually easy to straighten out, grind off and re make the lower mount and re make using heavier material...3/16" ish, weld on, big hammer to flatten the top mount back out.

for me with the tig only probably looking 4 hours work?

Really, unbolt that one, discard. Install one of the pivoting ones that u bolts to the frame. Then less risk in future of snagging it again...

Appreciate the tip gents. I never would have guessed they were that cheap.

Removed the old jack, hammered the top plat flat, installed new jack. Got Gary at MM to throw a quick support bead on it and some gloss black paint.

I'm almost embarrassed how easy it ended up being.

Note to future self: get a trailer with a pivoting jack like Andy mentioned.
