Yes. You can spec it out already on www.Mercedes-benz.ca with full pricing.

duh. That must be new. I think I checked last week, and they hadn't updated the website.

Yea it was updated last week. Noticed it trying to spec out an E400 Wagon. Need the 7 seats, you know, in case I don't pull out fast enough.

Check with the dealer though on the latest Product Profile. The website is just a guideline, some options won't show up there and only available on the profile sheets that detail every package, options, pre-requisites, etc.

AMG GT C Roadster was added as well. Same price as GT R.

Beautiful vehicle. The interior is unreal judging by the stock pictures.
Does it come with sporty exhaust burble and pops? I would assume they tone it down with E-Series.

It was the loudest recorded vehicle at the C&D Lightning Lap, even louder than the AMG GT R. I guess it needs to be loud seeing as the cabin is pretty quiet.

I'm still blown away that the E63S Sedan destroyed the Panamera Turbo and was just 2s behind the latest Godzilla GTR around a track. How the fuck does that even happen?

I love that MB is the only one willing to bring high-end, high-powered wagons to N/A. These are so awesome.

At the car show I reached under the seat of an E-class and was greeted by the bare seat cushion foam. The seat did not appear to be wrapped all the way around. Was this just a seat cover they used for the car show or something, or are the seats actually like that? The rest was so good I assumed it wasn't normal but I'm not sure.

Nope. The only AMG wagon we'll see is the E63(no C43 or E53). I also thought I read somewhere that the E63 was custom order only, as in, dealerships are not stocking them regularly.

+1 Still not as bad as the first F10 M5s... 2012s arrived late April, and the '13s hit mid-June... One year old (and one year's worth of depreciation) after 6 weeks. F-that.

Cancel that order, Jordan.

The 2014+ was the same. Dealers brought a few in anyway. Lonestar had a 2015 worth about $150K (CCB) in the showroom for a long time.

You will be in the same boat.

I ordered my 2014 Wagon in January 2013. I was #1 on Lonestar's list. It was delivered on December 23, 2013. The earliest deliveries for the sedan happened in late Sept. Ask Cocofishez on mbworld when he got his car.

You might get a 2019 sedan in Sept of 2018 if they can catch up with production and the EPA doesnt keep fucking you.

The 2016s came out early (May 2015) I think. But that was the final year.

Can you put a clause into your sales contract that requires delivery before a certain date? I can see 3 months, maybe even 5 month or so as reasonable, but January to December as a normal course of business would be unacceptable to me.

To be fair, the order banks didn't open until June.

There was an engine shortage or some shit. Happened with my ordered C63 as well.

The other option is to wait for them to stock them. It happens every so often.

There is no E63 R coming. Last gen had some widebody wagon testing as well, was just a platform used for testing new drivetrain for other cars. There is a C63 R coming tho at the end of the platform run.

There is also no E63 coupe coming. The E coupe will be AMG’d out to E53 with 500hp (430 + 70 hybrid) and that’s it. It sits as a replacement for the outgoing E550. The E coupe is a unique car where there are no comparable competitors because it’s a low volume seller, that’s why there won’t be an E63 coupe because the demand is nil, except for a couple of crazies like us haha.

I get the radar part about clocking the speed. But when the camera takes a photo of the licence plate, it'll have a hard time focusing right? Kinda like how photo journalist's camera have a hard time focusing on test mule vehicle due to the black and white camo vinyl wrap.

Or I am completely out to lunch on how photo radar camera works? :nut::nut:

That Camo makes it easier to focus with a camera. Camera's need sharp contrast / vertical / horizontal lines to focus on.

E63 looks amazing. MB has so many nice wagon options now, my personal favourite being the CLS.

https://images.cdn.autocar.co.uk/sites/autocar.co.uk/files/styles/gallery_slide/public/mercedes-benz-cls-shooting-brake-rear-quarter.jpg?itok=jBq7xA8c

Seats only 4 I think but I still love it though. An acquaintance has one, white with red and black interior and wood panelling for the floor of the trunk, very swank.

They just have to revive the R63 now :D

rage2
09-20-2017, 07:58 AM
CLS Shooting Brake is a 5 seater. That's gone for the next gen. No CLS63 either, that's being replaced by the AMG GT 4 seater, with a supercar 800hp hybrid version the year after. The hybrid drivetrain is probably what that E63 widebody wagon was testing to bring it all back on topic haha.

Went in to the dealer today....happened to be dressed like a scrub, so no one bothered me. lol

Wanted to check out the interior of the E class. Looked great on the low-option E400 that was there. Although the stock seats are not great. Also checked out the GLE interior because I'd like to replace Mrs. Buster's GL350 with a GLS63. But the interior of the GLE (which I think is the same?) was pretty disappointing.

Ran into JordanLotoski there too, which was a nice surprise.

Here's the config I've got currently. I don't really need all the driving assist stuff, or the premium package. I tend to buy my cars with lower options. The only thing I've got on there is the driver's package.

The dynamic seats are awesome. I had them in my CLS. They’re part of the premium package on the E63, can’t get them individually unfortunately.

I've seen it in the S-class. Problem is that it is a fingerprint magnet and scratches easy. In reality, I'd probably get open pore wood or carbon again.

No real issues. Front suspension on early cars needed some greasing. Been fine every since. We had an issue with the parking sensors that seems to have solved it self.

After many ECU updates, the auto-stop-start finally doesn't stall in intersections for my wife. I've never experienced it because I sit, push the start button and turn one click to the right. Everything else has been great.

I grabbed one for my wife and the hardest part was picking the interior colours. I HATED the interior when it was all black and it looked cheap to me. Had some seat time with E63S, it's very comfortable and fast but on the track it's a bit slower at the corner even compared with C43 or SL63 due to weight. But my experience may have been spoiled by driving GT-S and GT-R ahead of the E63S.

Yup. You're rare even in the world of a rare car, I bet. Of the 1000 of these they will sell (or whatever the number is), I bet 90% of the people will have an additional sports car. It's the highest average income/net-worth car that Mercedes sells.

One of the reasons I want to buy one is to support Mercedes doing this. There is a loyal customer base, and obviously a small cadre of Mercedes employees that basically will a car like this into existence (CTS-V wagon was the same).

From what I've read, the C43 is not a big jump on the E400. The outgoing E350 was definitely underpowered, but the E400 is definitely adequate.

While not confirmed or even reported, I’m speculating that once the “53” replaces the “43” in E and higher classes, the C43 will get the 400hp version of the engine that’s currently in the E43. That’s going to be the true sweet spot car in the C lineup and really stand out against its competitors as early as next year when the C gets facelifted.

Because the 53 is rumored to be around 500hp. The non AMG version of the 53 power unit already sits at 435hp.

I guess they could bump the power up on the 63s.

The German manufacturers have always had a problem with their mid tier engines getting the fancy new tech first, and eclipsing the premium motors.

Remember the N54 coming out BMW had to lie about its output to not damage M3 sales.
