There is nothing nice about that truck.

So basically the 2019 ram is a 2016 GMC Sierra?

And judging by the holes on the tailgate it looks like they're sticking with the giant RAM lettering on the back. I'll stick with my 2015...tks.

I'm definitely biased but I think the Silverado midnight edition or sierra all terrain are the best looking trucks out there.

That's fair, I had one for a work truck all last winter though and couldn't stand how it drove, so that immediately eliminates Chev for me.

Often wonder if this company is nearly unable to fund new product development. The journey hasn't changed since it's introduction, the Ram looks as it did since 09, the Caravan soldiers on unchanged since 08, the RWD sedans are STILL on the old Mercedes platform, the Challenger has seen no changes......

I'll have to wait until I see an HD to judge. I have never liked the 1500s, but they've never made an ugly 2500/3500.

Finally... I was just talking to somebody the other day how dodge is the only one who hasn't changed much on their trucks at all since 09.... can't wait to see what Ford pulls for their 2020 line up since they're notorious for changing how their vehicles look every 5 years.

Hell even the 2015 redesign to the 2018 has changed.

Trucks are strange like that. It seems very little new R&D go in to them. Ram, Tacoma, Titan all basically the same 10 year old frame

That's why Sergio is looking for buyers to merge with. FIAT can get their house in order and don't have $ for new flexible platforms.

At least next 300 will be on Alfa Giulia platform. So far the 2 low end Jeeps borrowed from FIAT.

As much as you bitch about Caravan, I think they keep it going for Dodge as panel vans and families that just want to spend $20k for one with 0 frills. Same line in Windsor also produces the new Pacifica.

I thought they learned from the 2005 model to stop putting fugly, awkward headlights on the Ram.

Ding ding. Round two.

Hell even the 2015 redesign to the 2018 has changed.

Ford and Toyota are moving toward yearly incremental upgrades like cars.

2018 is the Mid cycle, meaning we should see a new face for the F150 in 2020 or 2021.

Toyota added LED headlights, a new dash, more options on the 2018 Tundra. Toyota needs a new engine. The 5.7L is 10 years old.

Don't care much for truck looks, more interested in what it's interior, features, options and with Rams they tend to have many different looks. Look at the current front end designs, none are alike:

Rebel
Limited (nostrils)
Sport (painted plastic bumpers)
R/T, the 2018's that come with black hoods and decals, etc.
Big Horn
Outdoorsman
SLT

Currently IDK what truck I would get. But I'm leaning towards whatever best F150 60k would buy (Sport w/ appearance package 3.5EB maybe), or a Titan with the Cummins depending how steeply discounted. The only thing a Tundra has going for it based on driving all these new trucks day in and day out - is reliability. Otherwise it gets atrocious fuel mileage, looks bland/bloated, interior is spartan as hell, etc.

Pretty excited for the new Ram TBH. GM is meh.

Ford has officially become the best looking truck on the market.

but the shittiest to drive. We have a 2017 as a shop truck and I can't get comfortable in that truck. There is literally no seat position i can find that makes me not want to kill myself driving that thing longer than 10 minutes.

It's also the worst truck if you get in an accident. a ram or chevy frame basically needs to get hit by a train to buckle, but I've seen a ford frame buckle with an accident so light that it didn't even have the bumper tag the box.

Maybe an XL might not be comfortable, my lariat is great.

You may want to do some research. Dodge did the worst in safety ratings, Ford won...

Dodge is the oldest truck (10 years old now) so it's safety rating should be the worst, but its also the cheapest to repair. You also need to understand even with different safety ratings, do you know how it affects the odds of you being injured or killed? I'd wager the type of accident that will kill you in a dodge will likely kill you in a ford too 99/100 times.

But what is a significant difference is the cost of repair. When you have a minor hit that costs 25g on a ford that would cost 3-10g on a chevy or dodge, I'd say that's a factor worth considering with purchasing that truck. a 5g hit wont affect the resale much on a truck, but a 25g hit with a frame swap will make that thing virtually unsellable. I've only seen one other truck have a frame buckle for a minor to moderate bumper hit, and that was a tacoma, and it was hit harder than the ford we just replaced the entire frame on. Aluminum also tears where steel dents. When you have a tear in aluminum you are looking at a panel change. not so bad for a fender.... but when you're talking a side aperture of a cab that changes things a lot.

A XLT is a 50g truck too; its seats shouldn't feel worse than my 15 year old GMC. I'm not hte only one that can't stnad the seats either.

As far as I see it, the only perk to a FOrd is the fuel mileage. The year old ram we just dumped for this Ford averaged probably 14.5L/100km. This ecoboost we have now is averaging about 11.5l/100km. Everyone at my shop misses the dodge except the owner, who pays for gas lol.

It could just be me, but every time a new truck comes out I can rarely tell a difference from previous gens, the changes seem to always be so minor.

True, I was thinking they would do way more of a cosmetic change both inside and out for the 2019. The headlights and interior looks to be the only major change.

Does indeed look better than the first leaked photo. However, it's still nowhere near as aggressive as previous Ram trucks. Looks like a nip tuck, new headlamps and grill and that's it. Kinda boring really.

The interior look fantastic though.

If that's actually what the Laramie looks like I like it. Finally did away with all the chrome.

I'm trying to find what the sport looks like, I'm assuming something similar to the Laramie?

Dodge has really upped their interior game; they really had to. They finally started making cars I'd actually want to drive in the challenger, charger, etc but man the mid 2000's had worse than econocar interiors. Their trucks too.

Yeah the interiors of the new gen trucks are really nice. Ford and The new dodge(even the 4th gen was nice) are by far ahead of the game when it comes to extras(full pano roof, push button start etc) compared to the newest tundra and chev and that new 12" display for the ram is a beaut too. Question is do you want a truck with a shit load of cool features that could possibly go wrong or do you want a simpler truck thats pretty safe.

I saw a video of the unveiling and they briefly showed a blacked out version of the sport and I believe it does look like the Laramie but with the sport hood. I’ll try to find the link to video again.
