Post search... wtf am I missing here?

When I'm searching, how the hell do I go to the specific post/page that the results show? I feel like an idiot because I can't figure it out.

click the tab at the top that says search single content type, that will take you to the oldschool familiar search style.

That's what I'm doing, but when the search results come up (whether it be by posts or by threads), I can't figure out how to go to the post IN the thread
