A buddy sent me pictures from Versato's in Edmonton. And damn, it looks good. I'm curious whether or not Calgary has a place that fills their pies like this:

Paul's Pizza is similar as well. Apparently's it's called Tao's Pizza now. Anyone eat there since the change?

I'd agree with Paul's Pizza in Airdrie but be really to drink a gallon of water because of the salt.

That was my initial thought as well, but they don't fill their pizzas like what's pictured above.

I'll check out Vern's and MAYBE Paul's if I'm in the area.

Matador was awesome until it came under new ownership around 2010ish, after that is sucked in comparison. But they still never filled the pizza like pictured above.

Excellent pizza, but not like the picture.

Great. Now i want some T-Rex from Vern's and I live in Edmonton.

I guess if I paid attention i'd see that Versato's and Verns are the same thing. AWESOME!

Verns IMO has always been nasty... and I do prefer a "deep dish" to most Naples style thin crusts or hand tossed

for me #1 is Verona's, specifically the one at Gulf Canada Square when the owner's there (she has a location at the Devon and 5th ave place)
#2 is Michaels
#3 is Sammy's
#4 is Olive Grove

For napolese style, Hopkin harvest in windermere is the only place I'll go
