We've bought 3 brand new cars, none were customized though and were just off the lot. Never got a phone call from a worker but maybe because the cars are pretty standard. Is this a special car? Can the worker even be able to access this information?

this guys car is low to mid level of the model but goes on to say it's the first he's ever received after buying so many and also a bunch of Rolls Royce...but ya I thought a privacy issue first thing.

Sales guy, yes. Builder, no. How would they have access to this? Maybe he f'd it with on the production line and wanted to see if it had been found out.

AMG apparently bring some of the engine builders out to events sometimes so in theory you could meet the guy who built your engine at a meet. Not exactly the same though. I think some of the builders also cruise the Amg forum.

I met the guy that built my 6.2 in my C63, but this was during a factory tour of the engine plant in Affalterbach.
