Decided to pick up a 2nd computer for the office. Id like to stick under $1200ish range, and noticed a couple discounted ones on Newegg. I narrowed it down to 2 (unless someone can find a better option for the price) and would love an opinion on which one is the better pc. Mostly for office work, but I do play games on it. Some newer mmo's, and android games through Nox or Stacks. Nothing too crazy like AAA shooters. I have $1500 replacement fund through my company, and still need a kb/mouse, 2 monitors etc.

thanks for the help!

Intel system has a faster clock speed, better single core performance (think office apps), and an SSD for faster start-up and program launch. Downsides: only a small SSD, you would likely need another HDD unless your offices uses all network storage.

Ryzen system would have a huge performance increase for programs that are designed to use multiple cores. No SSD though, which is a big negative to some users.

Both systems have 8gb ram, which personally isn't enough for the software I use.

For $1500, why not consider having Memory Express build you a PC? The 8th gen processors are in stock now and even an i5-8600k is faster than the 7th gen i7-7700k that you have chosen out.

Nearly all of the the pre-built machines I've seen lately only have the 7th gen processors.

That's a pretty good price. Boxing day only I assume? It's $1499 now.
