I'm sure this has been posted before, but, I was heading north up 14th Street NW yesterday, hit a pot hole just below SAIT as you start to go up the hill.
Only going about 40km/h, must have hit it weird, tire blew out, rim bent possible other damage.

Anyone know if there is any way to file a claim through the city or am I just SOL?

I've tried 2 claims and got 0. However I have heard of people on beyond that have gotten reimbursed for all costs. It's worth a shot.

If I remember correctly the pot hole must be reported before you hitting it, the city needs a reasonable amount of time to fix it.

Hey, I hit that same pothole about 4:15 this afternoon, right side of RH lane. It's a beast of a pothole but my truck is more beastly. Sucks for you though.

Smoked and pot in the same sentence and you were off in the clouds!

I got money from the city to replace two bent rims way back in the day over an improperly marked road repair. Take lots of pictures and you might have a case if they knew about it.

Did you report the pothole to 311, so the city will fix the hole?

haha that I did. While I was sitting on the side of the road waiting for roadside assistance.
They closed the request today saying the placed a bump sign and a cone.

I never ever drive in the right lane on that stretch of road. Doesn't matter what the time of year is, it's always in shit condition, and has been for a number of years.

LOL agreed. Its like a slalom course on the best of days. It was really bad last year when the road had a massive dip in it with bad manhole covers
