Time has come to sell my STI. I have owned the car since September 2016 and have loved it. The car is originally from the USA, so it is a USDM STi. I went through a lot of inspections before buying the car and I will include that information for your review.
Since owning the car, I've done a lot of maintenance to the car:
- New wastegate actuator arm (January 14, 2017)
- Installed a new touch screen deck (October 1st, 2016)
- Installed a rear parking camera that's activated when the car is in reverse (October 1st, 2016)
- COBB accessport Stage 1 tune - New spark plugs (September 2016)
- Blitz NUR muffler (June 2017)
- Integrated DashCam to the head unit (June 2017)
- Oil changes every 5,000 kms done at The Gear Shop and by myself
PROS:
- Compression test and leak down test numbers are incredible. Completed by VEX perforamnce (September 2016)
- Cylinder 1: 140 PSI and 4% leakdown
- Cylinder 2: 140 PSI and 2% leakdown
- Cylinder 3: 145 PSI and 5% leakdown
- Cylinder 4: 140 PSI and 7% leakdown
- 2006 STI EJ257 Motor with Stage 1 accessport tune
- COBB Accessport V2
- SPT Short Ram Intake
- SPT Turbo heat shield
- Killer B oil pick-up
- Killer B oil pan
- Brand new Kumho Wintercraft Wi31 winter tires mounted on the Gold BBS wheels. Installed at 123,000 miles
- Summer tires that are mounted on Gold BBS wheels have at least another 50,000 KMs on them
- 2 sets of Gold BBS wheels!
CONS
- Valve cover gaskets will need to be changed in the next 10,000 KMs
- Rear end links need to be replaced
- Minor hail damage that's not very noticeable and repaired to the best of their ability from 2012
- Car was in an accident in 2008 and was repaired
- Someone backed into the front bumper and their tow-hitch left a mark
- Rust underneath the spoiler.
- Few rust spots on the car
