So I have had my heart set on a Panerai but with the Honey-Do lost growing for our new acreage and all the projects my wife has planned for me, I have come back down to earth and realized I need to be responsible and hold off on an almost 10k watch purchase. This led me down the path of trying to find something I would be happy with in the $1000 plus/minus range, and I have found the Lum-Tec line growing on me so I popped on the line and ordered up the Abyss 600M2. I like the relatively simple design and still find it to be a bit unique and stylish. The 28,800 BPH Miyota 9015 Japan automatic movement with optional hand winding and hack features seems quite good for the money as well.

The nice thing is the Canadian distributor is local here in Calgary at the Bezel House, and Ryan there was super helpful and not at all greasy or pushy. In fact he knew I was waffling between a couple styles and even though I made it clear I wanted to do an order before I walked out, he talked me out of the trees and convinced me to take the weekend to think about it and he made me a discount code so I could get 25% off any order I put in online so I didn't have to make my way downtown again.

In the end, I felt I saved enough with the discount, I ordered a second watch in the Combat B38 GMT (lesser expensive quartz movement) as a bit of a beater watch for working etc. I have to say so far I am impressed with these guys for the dollar, and I was wondering of any other Beyonders experiences with the line!

I wanted one of these watches for work as im outside at night sometimes. How well does it glow??

I ended up getting the Apple Watch but wouldn’t mind getting one of these in the future.

I have 2, a black/orange M57 and a gunmetal/black Combat B32

Little choked that my M57 looses time like crazy... like 4-5 minutes a day and seems to be getting worse. Maybe I need to see if Bezel House can assist with getting back to Lumtec to repair.

Other then that I really like them. I've replaced the straps on both and wear one or the other every single day.

I think I prefer the shape of the Combat B, love that black finish B you got Bob!

How long have you had the M57? I know with every automatic movement I have ever had, they required some semi regular service to keep everything work smoothly and accurately. I would think it is maybe something similar?

Mine are actually arriving tomorrow. I only played with the in-store pieces before so I haven't given the lum a serious test, but even in store it seemed super bright just cupping the watch in my hands. My business partner Kenny has a Lum-Tec though and he says his is like daylight (his words lol)! He says he needs to put his watch in a drawer at night because it is too bring it when he tries to sleep haha

It's a Quartz, had it a couple years now atleast. Battery had been replaced and it's still doing it.

The lum on them is pretty awesome. Best if they get charged with daylight.

Yup, have had a couple. Love the quick change leather straps. Makes it easy to match belts and shoes. Have the M67 currently. No issues, and can’t beat the quality of materials for the price

Black-Orange V2, still loving it!

I really dig the orange too... It was on the list! Waffled for a while before going with the blue just because I think it might be a bit more situationally universal. I still want it though!

Well, I'd never heard of it before, but now I have a wishlist. Thanks guys. I'm really digging the combat.

I got a M56 as my engagement watch ~5 years ago. I really like the look, keeps time perfectly fine. I ordered the leather strap for it along with the black rubber and steel band.
I put some cream/polish on the band to get it to match a pair of Alberta Boots I have. Some people mistake it for a Panerai which is always funny

Go meet Ryan in person. I think you will get a discount if you show up vs just ordering online. He saved me a good chunk!

Got the 600M2 today! Have to say it is a very nice piece. The blue is much nicer in person than pics do it justice.

Lum-Tec #2... The Combat B38 GMT. This is one of their more cost effective models and is a quartz movement, but it is definitely super solid and I really dig the style!

That is one good looking watch!

Also, screw this thread... now I'm looking at more watches haha. Really want to track this discontinued one down.

The new c series looks like a good deal (especially pre-order discount) too bad they didn’t go just a touch larger on the case... even a 40mm would be good for a classy dress watch, but 38mm for me at least is just too small. I rarely wear my 38mm watches

That is a really nice configuration! I guess you have to hunt the used market for that though...

I really like this one coming out...

Word. I was sold on the new C series until I saw it was only 38mm.... too small.

I agree, too small but It’s a great price for the C series. My 300M is a 40mm and it’s still on the small size.

Hey... Just noticed that Bezel House has some display watch clearance specials on right now! There are a few Lum-Tec's starting from $375! Some Seiko's, Mido's and a couple others too. Worth a look if you want a local guy for these brands!
