I don't suppose anyone owns an ozone generator (or knows of a place I could rent one) I could borrow for a day or two? I bought a car from gentleman who was a cattle rancher and the car smells like shit, literally.

TIA

I too bought a formerr ranch truck previously. I'm certain my guy was transporting calves in the back seat during spring snowstorms. First job is to thoroughly wet-clean all the carpet and seats. Like a hose and a shop-vac if it's ground into the floor carpet. Then upholstry cleaning machine for the seats and headliner, again, using a LOT of water. After that, the mild smell that's left can be tackled with ozone machine.

Trust me, until everything is spotless, that smell isn't going to eb touched by the ozone machine. Also, I no longer have access to one, but would be interested if anywhere rents them.

Neatfreak does interior automotive steam cleaning, although the last time I used them, I wasn't happy. I know a certain large rental fleet in town uses Janico for interior cleaning after a customer has smoked in the car, and they seem to do a good job with a mobile van-mounted steam cleaner. http://www.janicogroup.ca/ I've never used Janico for my personal vehicles, although they are now top of my list when I need this service.

The car is booked in for a full interior and engine detailing. I haven't been able to locate an ozone machine for a decent price. I will continue my search. Someone I chatted with mentioned the Dakota Odor Bomb, I may give that a try if I can't locate an ozone machine.

Not sure if that particular brand, but I have heard of disposable ozone bombs. They should work just fine.

If the interior is actually muddy or hairy, it's probably worth your time to do some precleaning to remove the worst of it. Your detailer may not want to spend the time, or they'll charge you extra hours.....

Happened to me.

Have you considered chlorine dioxide application? That's what I use when I deal with smelly interior. After a thorough shampoo and vacuum of course.

Have you ever used a zone machine? I find it leaves a lingering smell that gives me headache and makes me feel light headed. Hard to explain the smell. This was a commercial unit i used to have access to..... I remember doing a car and it was so bad after that i left the windows open and it actually made my garage smell that way for a while haha.
