Anyone into model rocketry? Did some of this when I was younger, been thinking it would be educational and fun with my kids.

Smallest engines obviously to start.

LOL, I love doing these Estes kits with my kids. I have always wanted to go a lot bigger and get out of the kit side of things. Problem is to make your own rocket engines, you need some sort of pyrotechnic licence or something.

If you start in on this, I would be game to learn more with you, and the kids would love it.

I thought this got a lot more restrictive recently?

You and me would be a bad combination. Let's do it.

I’ve got a couple unbuilt Estes kits in my basement. Been meaning to build them, I used to launch tons of rockets when I was a kid I had the launchpad and everything.

Don't think the rules have changed at all but finding a place to launch them and then retrieve them will be the more difficult thing - people near Calgary just aren't all that keen on having strangers on their land.
