This is probably the most infleuntial essential mix of the EDM era..... So many great songs "teased" for the first time. I remember listening to minute long snippets of "ID" and "Penguin", well before they were named "Levels" and "Fade into Darkness"

He retired from performing in 2016 after a string of health issues, including acute pancreatitis.
Avicii told Time in 2013 that the illness was caused by excessive drinking.
"Yeah I was drinking way too much, partying in general way too much," he said. "Then I got a pancreatitis attack [at 21], which is very rare. So that forced me to do a 180 and stop drinking."

True was such a great album. You have to give this guy credit, as I am sure that the record label wanted all songs to be Level's Volume II, but instead he decided to do something very different by integrating country and bluegrass. Its EDM's White album, or Tusk.

Yup, tons of drugs and alcohol will wear the body out pretty quickly.

Not even a real EDM fan, but liked a few songs. Saw him performing in Las Vegas at Xcess, was a good time.

Natural causes? Pretty mum out there, curious if mental health issues were his undoing. Regardless, no one deserves to not see their 30's
