It kind of caught my eye in another thread whereas someone said they got a new plate when they renewed their vehicle's registration.

Thus I'm wondering his many people do this, get a new plate when their vehicle's registration comes up for renewal. We never have and one of our plates is the original 1984 version of this current series.

So what do you do?

Usually I don't get a new plate unless i know I can get a famous 888/8888 plate haha. But I did on one occasion only and that was only because the lady suggested I get sequential plates to make it easier for what plate goes with what car. At the time we had 2 drivers and 4 cars so it was easier to just get 4 plates all with sequential numbers, so the plates were for example SAM-001, 002, 003, and 004.

I used to, but mostly because my car sales and purchases are staggered enough where I can’t transfer a plate over. Now that I got those pretty looking troops plates, I’m trying to transition them along with car purchase and sales. Quite stressful haha.

Have my fleet of three plates and I plan my purchases to keep them. Two are the old six digit plates and the seven digit one starts with BJ so I forgive it.

I don’t, I don’t get parking tickets and with a few vehicles I find it already annoying enough to remember haha. So no positive practical purpose to get new ones and a lot of downside.

I have not changed plates , but when the stickers build up too much it might be a good idea...

i never thought of getting them changed because of excess parking tickets from impark, but good point.

50-50. I have a personalized plate I always use and then at least one other registered. I have a stack of plates from the past 5 years.

On that note, you can check how many outstanding tickets you have with them. Impark gave me a ticket 7 minutes after I paid, checked online and they keep records at least back to 2011. I have been rocking the same one for a while, trying to find my old FFU-### one for the next ride.

This is why I've kept BFC-X666 so long. Too much good in one licence plate to give up.

I wanted to get one of those plates, until I found out I need to order it, and the registry told me it was essentially the same price as a custom plate. I don't know if it's true on the pricing or not, but if they just had them in stock, I'd get one.

Yeah I think they mail the troops plate to you so you don't even get a chance to reject the number. If they let me do a vanity/troops plate combo I'll do it. I have 4 plates, more than enough to switch around.
