Here is a photo of a steel co2 cylinder first pressure tested in 1916. The second was in 1945 and had a swastika logo that was later boxed in. They keep them in service until they fail a retest (usually ripping open). I can’t even imagine what these tanks have experienced in their life time and most of the cylinders I have right now were built in the 50s and 60s. 8214082141

Uncommon to see quality made products like that anymore.

Your slightly incorrect about something. The swastika in the non-twisted form is actually a religious symbol. With it turn to an angle is when it became the bad one.

Yes and no - while the 45-degree version was most common in Nazi Germany, the "normal" symbol was also widely used by the Nazis, including Hitler's personal standard and emblems.

As far as the gas cylinder goes, the swastika was stamped by Linde, a German outfit. However, their use of the stamp predates the rise of the Nazis by a couple of decades and was likely a coincidence.

My buddy told me he is working at a gas plant in Turner Valley and there are very large Crane valves with the swastika cast into them. Somebody tried to remove one with a grinder.
