Which driving school would you recommend?

A family friend wants to go through driving school to learn how to drive and get their insurance discount.

Back in my day people use to recommend Derek Brown but I see a lot of different driving schools out there nowadays. Has anyone had recent experience with a driving school they would recommend? Any particular instructor?

I did Young Driver's when I was 16. Expensive but I still use their teachings 20 years later.
