Has anyone had some professional portrait photographs taken for their business, linked in page..?
I know this has been asked on the forum before..but im specifically looking for a portrait kind of photograph.

My linkedin profile picture is pretty much like this (no exaggeration).

82317

...And I need to get my ugly mug it to look a bit more like this..

Has anyone dealt with any portrait photographers who have a studio.. in particular helping ugly people look better? Showdow.. lighting techniques etc
How much did you pay or how much should I expect to pay...? Any recommendations who specialise in portraits..?

I know one has to pay to play. I wont lie, I am on a tight budget. Any recommendations on people you have used...?

There's more than one beyond photographer who do good linkedin photos. I don't know if it's a regular part of their gig, but I had one do my whole team and was happy with the results.

DO NOT go to superstore or somewhere like that for the portrait. They do it, but it's garbage.

Edit: Might be out of your price range but she's really good at what she does.

I have had them done a few times for work and have found that $150 is an average cost for someone to spend about 30-45 minutes taking maybe 50+ pics and narrowing them down to maybe 20 or so for you to pick from and then you get to pick your top 2-3 and get digital copies of them. They can also do some minor touch-ups if needed. B&W photos are usually good at hiding bad features if needed lol

The last guy I used was good but he is in Edmonton so that won't help you.

Thanks for the info and tips.
I ended up going with Toi Et Moi Photography. It was really good, the photographer put me at ease and took lots of photos.
I got sent a link and I got to select the photos I liked.
She did touchups and kept doing them till I was happy. It was about $150 for two photos.
