Just looking for a recommendation on who to go with for a hot water tank replacement. I've already had the dip tube fixed once, so I'm not really interested in repairing it again. I'm okay with just an installer, or someone who wants to source the tank themselves. Post here or PM me your recommendations.

Don't even think of calling Clearview. Total pirates.

Have heard decent things about the home depot people.

Do not use ARO Plumbing and Heating, also known as Need a Plumber Canada.

Terribly overpriced and terrible communication. Still chaps my ass the BS they pulled a couple years back.

Action Furnace did my hot water heater in both my rental and my primary.

Disclosure: I work for their marketing company.

Thanks for the recommendations on both who to use and who not to use so far. I got one quote from 'Harmony' through Home Depot and it was nearly double than I was expecting to pay. What did people pay to get their tanks replaced?

Pete the plumber - 50 gallon tank, $1008 installed.

Clearview - stay the fuck away from them, way overpriced in my opinion and they charge $72 to come out and tell you their stuff is way more expensive.

204 negative "not recommended" reviews, yet their page shows 3/5 with only 10 reviews. Shows how useful Yelp is.

I like that Pete The Plumber has expanded into Edmonton now :)

I ended up going through Home Depot. Their installer was Friesens. I think I paid around $1100-1200 installed. A bit expensive but I got the tank that has the 9 or 12 year warranty.

Yelp itself is nothing more than a racketeering scheme.

There is the Calgary Cash jobs FB group if you want to go really cheap..... but means sourcing out your own tank usually.

I got Pete the Plumber to replace mine too. They had the best price and had it installed in less than a day. No complaints whatsoever.
