I picked up a large white board. My old workplace were throwing this out before I got laid off.
I would like to mount it length ways on my wall.

Forgive my ignorance and noob questions. I have not ever drilled into drywall. Im in a new build condo and I dont want to wreck the walls.
In the UK I would just drill into the plaster and into the brickwork.
With drywall I have no bloody clue.

I went to Rona and the customer service lady near the section by the mounting/screws aisle had the typical resting bitch face, greying hair and eyes that contained scars of a absent father in her youth..
I asked about how I would go about doing this. She just pointed me to the aisle she was standing next to. I saw lots of dry wall screws etc. I have no idea. I dont mean to be sexist but I hate going to a hardware store's and dealing with women. Guys are great, I get lots of help. Women just never seem to be able to help me. It pisses me off.:banghead:
(Rant over)

Anyhooo.

Ive attached a photo and a wall behind is where I would like it to go (Sorry about the shit quality).
I noticed the board already has two predrilled holes on the right side. Top and bottom. Not sure I can drill on the left side. But I can give it ago.
I have no idea of weight, depth or strength tolences of drywall when screwing.
Now I thought about getting a load of those sticky things and just sticking it on the wall.
Or maybe pre building a wooden frame... or screw it on a wooden sheet and attached that to the wall...

Basically... I have no fucking clue.

How would one go abouts doing this..? How would you do this?

If your concern is holes and no clue how to go about them, use a few of these. No drilling and will come off clean.

If you're hanging a big heavy whiteboard, I'd say you almost have no choice but to drill into the walls. I wouldn't trust any amount of sticky glue with a whiteboard, although I'm guessing there are products that would support it. But you'd have to use enough that I bet they'd wreck the walls anyway.

Screwing into drywall is easy, just have to use anchors. Here's a good tutorial on a few different kinds:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFLxQ9aNlrY

So in this case if it was me, it depends on how you want the final product to look. You could put 2 anchors in the wall above the board, screw 2 loop hooks (https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/VHgAAOSwmoBZbhX~/s-l1600.jpg) into the top of the board, and "hang" it. Or, you could put a couple anchors in the wall near the bottom of the board, use some brackets (https://whiteboard.atozstores.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/s/e/series5hdwr_2.jpg) to hold up the whiteboard from underneath.

Or, like what most people would probably do, drill 4 holes through the whiteboard, put a pencil mark on the wall where each one is, drill your pilot holes, put the drywall anchors through, then screw through the whiteboard into the drywall anchors and lock that sumbitch in place.

Thanks for your tips Doozer. Much appreciated. I ended up drilling another two holes into the whiteboard.

I drilled into the wall in the end. One side was dry wall the other was the frame.
