I picked up a large white board. My old workplace were throwing this out before I got laid off.
I would like to mount it length ways on my wall.
Forgive my ignorance and noob questions. I have not ever drilled into drywall. Im in a new build condo and I dont want to wreck the walls.
In the UK I would just drill into the plaster and into the brickwork.
With drywall I have no bloody clue.
I went to Rona and the customer service lady near the section by the mounting/screws aisle had the typical resting bitch face, greying hair and eyes that contained scars of a absent father in her youth..
I asked about how I would go about doing this. She just pointed me to the aisle she was standing next to. I saw lots of dry wall screws etc. I have no idea. I dont mean to be sexist but I hate going to a hardware store's and dealing with women. Guys are great, I get lots of help. Women just never seem to be able to help me. It pisses me off.:banghead:
(Rant over)
Anyhooo.
Ive attached a photo and a wall behind is where I would like it to go (Sorry about the shit quality).
I noticed the board already has two predrilled holes on the right side. Top and bottom. Not sure I can drill on the left side. But I can give it ago.
I have no idea of weight, depth or strength tolences of drywall when screwing.
Now I thought about getting a load of those sticky things and just sticking it on the wall.
Or maybe pre building a wooden frame... or screw it on a wooden sheet and attached that to the wall...
Basically... I have no fucking clue.
How would one go abouts doing this..? How would you do this?
