Are there any good, reliable USB WiFi adapters on the market? Something that can actually match the speed of my R7000 (1300 Mbps) ?

I just discovered today that the condo I moved in to is wired with Cat5 cable, not Cat5e. I'm hitting the max 100Mbps connection on my desktop PC, where I stream media files from for the TVs in the place. Having issues with even blue ray 1080p movies.

Would a USB WiFi adapter be better for me in this situation? No Room on mobo for a new card sadly...

WTF how old is that condo? LOL.

With that said I've always had good luck with Asus adapters but wifi is all over the place and you may never get full speeds.

There is a chance it's just wired wrong, it was originally run for dual service internet and telephone (3 pairs data port, 1 pair phone port). I had to redo it all.

I figured it was old cable since i can't get gigabit speeds. maybe i just fucked up though?
