dammit. I was literally reaching for my chequebook. Auto.

No wonder its low miles - who the fuck wants to buy it.

This is practically the ladyboy of sports cars.

Who in this day and age wants a 4-speed automatic car? It doesn't help that the automatic version is down on horsepower so a slow car gets even slower. I have a soft spot for these cars but man they are slow by today's standards.

It's in miles too, that's 70k miles not kilometers unless the odometer is converted or something. The speedo is in miles.

Edit: thought it used the same motor as the legend 6 speed, my bad, it’s been a while since I’ve seen one at the wrecker and forgot they were north-south

Does look good though!

Man, these cars were so cheap 5 years ago... anyone who bought an NSX a few years back has made some good money. Same with the 8 Series BMW... I am seeing a trend here... :)

Yes .. for sure .. at least will consider ..

4 speed Auto? No thx ..

My buddy just picked up an 93 NSX for ~ 55K cad in Hong Kong .. less than Half price of a Civic R over there .. I will say that is good value as a childhood dream car!

I dont think the value of a manual will ever drop at this point... might be a good "investment"

Kulu has an 02 for 109K

You're right, description says miles, details on the listing says it's km, and the "condition analysis" graphic is based on km.

Man, I saw the most beautiful red NSX in BC last week. I couldn't stop looking at it, everything was pristine. Walked up close and had the same sentiment as everyone here after finding out it was auto.

25 years old, 4 speed auto, over 100,000 KM, performance roughly in line with today's entry level luxury sedans. Obviously I am not the target market but regardless I just can't see the appeal, especially for $70K. If a collector is going after one of these things, 99.9% of them probably want a manual.

What is this thing honesty worth, 30k if that? I wonder how hard it is to convert. Used 6 speed would likely be spendy.

I have a soft spot for them same as everybody. I worked at Acura for years, driven a few . I should probably change my user name to legendoldballs at this point lol

If that is 70K mile ..112K km .. that is not low km ..

Well, it was 8 year ago .. almost bought one with 100K km manual for $30K ..

The one at Kulu with 24K mile for $109K is indeed pretty good deal by compare ..

A manual could certainly be added from OEM parts - however look at around 20k in parts and labour to make this so.

Doesn't the auto also make less HP than the manual model from the factory?

Incidentally a built K24 will make 300whp easily at sea level. It can do 260whp here. It would fly and be lighter yet lol

Picked it up from BC last week. 1998 6speed with 65,000 km on it. Probably not going to drive it much but have wanted one for a while. All stock Canadian car.

Gonna keep it stock mostly. Maybe throw my BBS LMs on them and that's it

That's all you Honda guys think about.
You'd buy a Geo Tracker for 10x the black book price if it had a K-swap in it and could still have your VTEC kick in. :)

I mean, in a Tracker that would be silly....But a Suzuki Vitara........haha...

I honestly can't figure out why anyone ever gave a shit about these cars. The price/performance never made any sense and still doesn't on the old gen. The new gen are nice looking, but what's the draw for a 6 figure slow ass car? I must be missing something.

Because they're probably the best feeling car you'll ever drive. I don't like the 6-speed as much, but the 5-speed is the best gearbox ever made, I think. Better than the S2K, better than the Miata.

They're usable as hell; they're comfortable for a 16 hour drive, I did it a ton in mine. You can back for two people and have lots of room.

They sound amazing. The look good, even at 25 years old. They're not even THAT slow, considering their age. Not a lot from 1991 will hang with an NSX.

And they're reasonably rare, so you don't run into them all that much.

the rotors are aftermarket. so i guess not all stock lol.

I cant afford a 993 911 C4S so i opted for this instad. Compare an old performance car to any current gen vehicle isn't exactly fair imo. I'd bet the NSX is slower than v6 Camry in a straight line.

But it's an amazing driver's car with an old school feel. It's the slowest car i own, compares to the M2, M5 and CTR. But the driving dynamic of the 90s is like no other. Also, It's not going to get any cheaper unlike all the BMWs i own. That's why i bought it.

yup, and i am not slagging it at all. I get a lot of people like them. But, I still don't understand the appeal. I have the same thoughts regarding BMWs, G-wagons, Bentlys, Ferarris, and others. I know they all have their followings, but I am just not in the group. The hype just isn't with me lol.

I have owned two separate Formula Red 1991 NSX's, they are indeed great cars. I would not agree with your assessment of the gearbox being the best ever however. Both the S2000 and NA Miata are better shifting IMO. Many NSX's are plagued with the 2-3 gear crunch and overall notchiness (GM Syncromesh helps with the notchiness).

By todays standards, the NA1/2 NSX are slow. Back in 1991, the Nissan 300ZX Turbo was just as quick/quicker than the NSX for a lot less money.
