Their corn fritters are disgusting now, and hence, I haven't eaten there in years. Last time I went, i physically took apart on of their deep fried-dried out-dough balls and found 4 pieces of corn in it. Back in the day, they were way better and not as dry as the sahara.

As for their chicken, it is nothing spectacular either. I would rather have Fritou

CotW corn fritters have had whole kernels in them for as long as I can remember. It's just a particular style of making cornbread, you can't accidentally wind up with whole kernels in cornmeal.

I agree with your overall take on CotW quality though, everything is dry as hell and Fritou is so much better.

We sent a lackey to go pick up lunch today and was only 20 minute in and out at Forest Lawn COTW. Got a 12 piece chicken box only for $8.80. Could only choke down eight pieces in one sitting.

I grabbed a 16pc and a speciality? (4pcs fries and 2 fritters) for $15 (worth $40). Staff seemed in relatively good spirits, but i was there at 11am, so it was only half hour after opening.

I have only ever been to this place once - Kensington / 14th location.

It was the most disgusting fast food meal I've probably ever had. The fries were literally wet with grease (as in dripping), and salted to the point of being inedible (and I like salt).

The chicken was the same, so greasy it was actually inedible without gagging. After a couple bites the person I was there with and I both threw out our meals. Without a doubt the worst fried chicken I've ever had and I have not been back since. I know some people like them so maybe I just had bad luck but man was it ever terrible. I will eat almost anything but I could not stomach that.
