Does anyone else notice a trend in the rising prices of the 25 year old RHD imports? I know they are eligible into the US at that point but it almost seems like a no brainer to start collecting 20 year old ones until they hit that magical number and go south.....or am i out to lunch?

for example on bringatrailer.com this afternoon a nissan figaro sold for 24k US!

I am noticing similar. Specifically with skylines. I was toying around with the idea of picking up a cheap gts-t but doesn’t seem like there are too many left. Could be that the 16y/o boy racers have finally killed them off with their “crank the boost and pray” approach to tuning and all that’s left are examples from guys that actually cared

US is killing the market. They are also buying up the younger stuff and storing it in Japan till it’s eligible already

Even a LHS 25+ yr old car (good one, not a Ford Tempo) is increasing in value ..

Can also bring the car over in pieces or deem it a kit car. Never looked into process but I recall it can be done.
