I’m getting sick of my usual cruise around beltline/mission/marda loop/Kensington/inglewood. Where else is worth cruising in the city?

Fuck city driving... thats just asking for a ticket. My cousin lives up Lochend Road just West of the turnoff to go to Madden, and just south of him there is a road they use for a stage in the Cochrane Rally. Huuuuge sweeping gravel road thats graded at least once a week, definitely more if it rains, it is as smooth as pavement. For anyone wondering, I will figure out the exact coordinates of this road later on today or tomorrow and repost it so that you guys can enjoy it too.

Whenever I am craving a good ol' sideways 160 km/h smile, we take out his quattro and pretend we're Group B pilots. :D

Head south of town to Longview, turn right onto Highway 40 which comes out at the Stony Nakota Casino - awesome drive.

For gravel, powderface trail is very nice. Get it before it closes for the winter.

Bragg creek is usually a fun drive not too far from the city.

Brag creek past millarville there is a freshly paved road that’s perfect for ripping. Just gotta keep an eye out for moose.
Highway 762.

IMO, those roads listed in the OP are just for posing since a lot of foot traffic will see your car. That's fine...but if you want city cruises...the windy roads like John Laurie and Shag/14th Street up Nose Hill. Make a loop of it. Elbow Drive leaving Mission at the right time of day is also a nice cruise. I had to get to Canadian Tire from Heritage (I've never done this route) but Bonaventure Drive is pretty fun considering it's a slow road. It has little dips and crests and kinks that I have come to appreciate when doing 50-60 km/h.

If you want a spirited drive, see the other responses, I concur with those. Highway 40 is a winner.

Took the morning off and did this drive today. Would highly recommend.
Enjoyed myself even in the winter beater.
