Daniel Martin at Centaur. Sold me my BRZ and was excellent to work with through the whole process.

Bumping this as father in-law wants me to go with him tomorrow to buy a Subaru Crosstrek from a Calgary dealer. Not interested in driving outside the city as I don't think there are really any better deals these days.

Anyone have a referral for a good sales rep at either Centaur or Calgary Subaru for a straight forward, cash purchase on a 2022 Crosstrek?

Is Daniel still around?

Thanks

I have a good friend in edmonton if you guys want to travel up there. I'd trust him over any dealer here.

Ryan King out of Scott Subaru, I bought my car over email.

There is a whole thread on him being recommended here. I bought my 2018 Crosstrek in Calgary, and my 2020 Forester in Red Deer. I tried to buy in Calgary at both Calgary dealers...but I saved a ton of money buying from Ryan. I don't know how things are nowadays as it was over a year ago, but back then I saved over 5k on a Forester Sport. If I even need to buy another one, I will be going to Red Deer. As far as I am concerned the Calgary dealerships suck.

+2 for Ryan at Scott Subaru. Bought my 18 WRX through email and my brother bought his 19 Ascent - no issues at all and better deals than Calgary

The problem with owning a Subaru in Calgary is that you have to deal with one of the two local dealerships for warranty and service work. I don't think I can own another Subaru until they build a new and modern dealership in the city.

I don’t think there’s enough middle aged lesbians in Calgary to support another Subaru dealership unfortunately.

Looks like Centaur is building a big one next door to the current one.

It's about time. Stepping into Centaur feels like walking into a small town 70's dealership.

Yep. I worked there in the early 2000's and it was a dump back then. They could only fit 4 cars in the "showroom", and all the desks were at least 10 years old then. And don't even get me started on the used car office. UGH!!!

If a car dealership is in the 21st centruy, they really don't need much more than sales staff who understand how email work. I don't give a fuck about the showroom.

Just bought a lesbaru from Brad White at Lethbridge Subaru. Did the entire process via email, walked in, signed the docs, out the door within 20 minutes. They even brought it to a third party shop in Lethbridge to have tint/ppf applied for me after I declined their in-house options.

I wish I could take it there for service instead of Centaur, but I am looking forward to their new building.
