Anyone seen any showhomes with interior glass windows or doors to their garage?
something similar to these condos in other cities?

Maybe condo building codes are not as strict because they are steel and concrete

Im guessing the fire codes here would likely specify fire-rated glass - and sprinklers against the glass. HVAC systems as well.

If done right, this should not be an issue - but its more of a Vancouver thing I would suggest, than a Calgary thing. I dont see the developers here with much of a vision - other than boring.

I remember one of the lottery homes years ago had something like this in the basement. It was cool and also retarded because to get to it you had to drive through the main garage, back into open air, and then into the glass basement garage.

I did think it would make a pretty sweet sex dungeon though, if you put one-way glass in it.

Ya, if you creep his instagram there's a few pics. He doesn't exactly live in a spec home though.

This would be a summer-car use/storage only parking here in Calgary (thats why you could see these in Vancouver).

No one is going to park a dirt/slush/mud coated vehicle in a glass box and then have it drip all over the floor (even with a drain) during our winters. Its also not going to be a 458 in that case.
